Ive been an artist since I was a kid. I taught myself how to sew. I started seeing things and would always make it, in my version, instead of buying it. I wanted to share my art and creativity with others, I started to get the feeling of wanting my own business. Streetheart was founded in 2005, and became very active in 2009. It is an ongoing learning experience. I am inspired by everyday life, especially in my own community. Hispanic culture, Day of the Dead, old fashion and vintage also inspire me to create and paint. I create my own patterns for all of the children's items that I make and sell. I want people to be able to buy something unique for their child, and something that is not in stores. I love when people get a kick out of what I make and are excited about my items, some of my items make people laugh like my Viva Frida eyebrow logo that is on bibs right now. I have a studio in my yard that I work out of, I sew and paint into the wee hours of the night. I am very busy with my family of four and 2 dogs.
